The 3rd VIII squad produced a strong set of results at Bridgnorth. The four opened the day with a promising first race together, while Matthias H (LVI, SH) delivered a standout performance by winning the J18 1x after already racing—and excelling in—the J16 1x.

In the double, Jamie B (LVI, O) and Oscar C (LVI, R) bounced back from a narrow early loss to claim a convincing win in their second race. Both athletes also raced singles, with Jamie showing good form and Oscar steering superbly after hours already spent competing.

The Op 8+ finished the senior racing in style, edging Oxford Amateurs by one seat before powering past Warwick University to win the event.

The J14s enjoyed a successful first regatta, with the boys’ two quads both taking victories and the first one winning their band. The girls faced changing conditions, but the second boat produced a close race against RGS Worcester, and the first boat secured a strong win. A memorable debut filled with sunshine, learning, and well‑earned ice cream.
