Building Strength and Connection at Ely Half-Term Camp

The Ely half-term camp this year was a fantastic opportunity for both the Senior and J16 squads to train side by side.
Bringing the two groups together made a real difference not just in developing our technical skills, but in strengthening connections across the club.
Training together on and off the water created a brilliant team atmosphere and will no doubt give us an edge as we head into Junior Fours Head and GB Trials next half of term. We also took part in sessions on nutrition and the psychology of performance which helped us deepen our understanding of what it takes to compete successfully at a high level.
Midway through the week we swapped oars for bowling balls in a fun competitive afternoon that brought everyone closer together. Huge thanks go to our coaches for giving up their own half term to guide and support us throughout the camp their enthusiasm and commitment set the tone for the whole week. Ely Camp has set us up perfectly for the head racing season feeling stronger, more connected and ready to race.
