The Senior and J16 Boys had their first external race of the 2023/24 season, racing in small boats at Runcorn Autumn Head.

For some it was their first ever race in singles, which they handled well. The Senior Boys entered a range of categories from U17, U18 & open (adult).

Jeremy G (O, UVI) came away with a gold medal in open band 1 single which is the highest category. The other scullers place 2nd in the other events to some good opposition.

The J16 Boys raced in fours. The J16 Coxed Four Shrewsbury came away with a gold medal, won by Toby S (I, V), Hamish P (SH, V), Lemuel A (S, V), Oliver T (R, V) and Angus P (Ch, V) (cox).

Further silverware was collected in the coxless four, with Robbie L (S, V), Theo E (O, V), Richard W (I, V) and Ben M (S, V) taking home a gold medal and placing 12th overall, against older and more senior rowers.
