Salopian Kate Woodman Stars in New TV Drama

Kate Woodman (Moser’s Hall 2023) is currently appearing alongside Sam Claflin in the new television adaptation of ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’, streaming on U and Drama.
Kate arrived at Shrewsbury as a Drama scholar in the Third Form and took part in every school and house play possible during her time at school – an impressive total of 19 productions.
Following a gap year in which she filmed ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ and took her own production of ‘the Importance of Being Ernest’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Kate began studying at Cambridge, where she has taken part in a wide variety of student theatre, including most recently touring to the Camden Fringe and America.
Helen Brown, Director of Drama, said:
“It is wonderful to see Kate embarking upon her professional career and I am sure that there will be many opportunities to see her on stage and screen in the future!
“Throughout her time at school, she demonstrated not only great talent but also real dedication and hard work, and it is a great pleasure to see her efforts bearing fruit.”
