Victories across the board at Shrewsbury Regatta

Over the weekend a flotilla of school crews took to the water at the Shrewsbury Regatta.

While the Senior and J16 lead boats travelled to compete at the Nottingham City Regatta the J15’s and few remaining J16 and Senior crews raced on the club stretch. The weather conditions were perfect for a great weekend of racing.

The club saw its fair share of wins and losses with some close racing over the two days. Racing on Sunday was optional for those who wanted to enter and race in small boats and it was fantastic to see a large entry of singles, doubles and fours racing through the course of day. Congratulations to Letty H (M, V) and Jake D (SH, IV) for winning J16 Girls and Boys singles respectively and James G (Ch, IV) for winning the J15 boys’ singles event.

There were other wins in the J18 4+, J17 2-, WJ15 8+, J15 4+, WJ15 4+, Invitational 1X and J16 8+ categories.
