Fundraising Now Open For Shrewsbury's Sponsored Walk 2026

On September 29th, the entire school community will come together to take on an exciting and ambitious challenge: a 19-mile walk through the stunning Shropshire Hills in support of Shrewsbury House.
This is no small feat, but with determination and school spirit, we are aiming to raise an incredible £120,000 for The Shewsy.
The Shewsy, a Youth Centre in Everton, has shared a special partnership with Shrewsbury School for more than 100 years. Located in one of the most disadvantaged areas of the country, where over 30% of children live below the poverty line, The Shewsy provides invaluable opportunities, support, and a safe space for young people.
Every pound raised through the Sponsored Walk will go directly towards refurbishing The Shewsy’s Sports Hall and changing rooms. Remarkably, the hall was originally built in 1973 thanks to funds raised from a previous sponsored walk, and now, over 50 years later, our students have the chance to make a lasting impact once again. Together, we can help ensure that future generations continue to benefit from this vital community facility.
Individual House fundraising links will be shared tomorrow in House Newsletters. We are also launching a central fundraising page, which you can access here. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us move closer to our ambitious goal and make a real difference to the young people in Everton.
