Adventure Society Awards 2025–2026
As Thursday activities for the year come to a close, we in the Adventure Society have been celebrating our members’ achievements.
We were pleased to present 50 Emergency First Aid at Work certificates, along with 48 Rookie Lifeguard qualifications, 40 NICAS Level 1 certificates, two NICAS Level 2 certificates, and 80 British Canoeing Discover Awards. We also handed out our annual awards, recognising pupils who have shown great character and development in a particular activity. This year’s winners were:
- Paddler of the Year – Callie D (IV, MSH)
- Skier of the Year – Samuel T (IV, O)
- Climber of the Year – S A (IV, SH)
- Mountain Biker of the Year – Paa F (V, R)
Our final award is the Adventurer of the Year award, which is given to a pupil who has shown a true adventurous spirit throughout the year by getting stuck into all the activities on offer, come rain or shine, leading by example and showing excellent character. This year, the award went to:
- Adventurer of the Year – Daisy K (IV, QEH)
We rounded off the year with a photo of all the society members at the top of the Stiperstones.
The Adventure Team looks forward to continuing the development of our activities programme next year and to helping more pupils gain the skills and experience they need to participate safely in adventure activities after school.
Mr Tom Folker (Head of Adventure)
