A Year of Volunteering with the Shrewsbury Hygiene Bank

Volunteering with the Shrewsbury Hygiene Bank has been an incredibly worthwhile and meaningful experience for me.

It has helped me understand how important access to basic hygiene products is for people’s confidence, dignity, and overall wellbeing.

By giving my time to help sort donations, prepare essential items and support the work of the Hygiene Bank, I feel that I have made a positive difference to individuals and families within the local community.

It is rewarding to know that even small acts of kindness can have a real impact on someone’s day-to-day life, especially for those who may be experiencing difficult circumstances.

During my time volunteering last year, we made up 802 packs of essential hygiene products which supported 7 different local charities, I’m very proud of the work we have done and fully support the mantra of the charity, everybody deserves to be clean.
