Much Wenlock Live Arts Festival

On 15^th March 2026 the dance competition team travelled to Much Wenlock to compete in the Wenlock Live Arts Festival. This was the first year that we entered solo’s into the Senior Contemporary and Modern classes. All dancers performed brilliantly with strong technique and control. In the Contemporary class Bethan (EDH) came away with Gold, Mia (QEH) Silver and Andrea (QEH) 4^th.

In the modern class , which was a very high standard, Will (Ch) was awarded highly commended, with the adjudicator commenting that his solo was an entertaining dance with a strong presentation.

As well as solo’s the team entered a group piece to the competition. Their dance was based on the Peaky Blinders. The adjudicator commented that the dance created a good impact with strength and an engaging piece with sustained presentation. This routine also won gold in the Senior Classical class. So, a very good day out for the competition team.
