The CCF Colour Party is made up of selected senior cadet NCOs (Non Commissioned Officers) who carry the CCF banner on parade on Remembrance Sunday in memory of the fallen.

Our cadets feel honoured to be chosen to represent our three sections (Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force) in front of the entire school at the Act of Remembrance. The Pooley Sword of Honour, which is awarded annually to the top CCF cadet as voted by staff and cadets, was carried this year by Flight Sgt Amelia B. The pupils are proud to wear their uniform and have spent some weeks practising their foot drill for the event.

After some early morning boot and brass polishing they were sure to eat a snack before being on parade, to give them the energy and focus needed to stand to attention for long periods.

Together with the choir and all other members of the school, the pupils represented themselves with respect and integrity and during the two minutes silence not a sound could be heard.

Lt Col. N.P. David, Contingent Commander
